Chilli's, chill's, chill's. What can I say? It's one of our favorite places to go and by now we've tried almost everything there. Interestingly. everyone has a different favorite.
Even more curiously, there seems to be a dish for every mood there.
Want to eat healthy? Try the salad.
Want to indulge? Try the ribs.
Want one of the basic all time favorites? Try a pasta or a pizza.
Want a Chilli's special? Try their burgers or nachos or ribs. (Oh yeah honey, the ribs again!)
Want to get tipsy in one drink? Try any cocktail.
What do you mean *any* cocktail? Where's my fancy stuff at? Well then, try their Corona Rita or their fancy limited edition cocktails.
Would like to make a meal out of just starters? That's just a good decision anywhere, in my opinion.
Let's get with what we tried at Chilli's.
On My Plate:
Corona Rita:
You don't have to like beer to like this cocktail. Its fancy presentation matches its good taste and gives you an appreciative slight buzz.
Baby Back Ribs:
Decadence! The pork was soo good and well made that it fell off the bones and melt in the mouth. The sauce (honey chilli) was lip smacking and perfect.
Chicken Quesadilla Explosion Salad:
Hello sweet mother of salads. I do not generally like salads, because I don't get the concept of eating veggies. But on a particular 'eat healthy' frenzy I happened to try this. Initially I was to share the salad, but it was so good that I ended up eating the whole thing by myself. Its fresh, its crunchy, its got chicken and a great smokey Ranch dressing. Love it!
Santa Fe Salad:
Those watching their weight, yet want to eat out or are dragged by their unrelenting friends can try this. Makes for a good side dish but as a salad meal, I preferred the quesadilla explosion salad.
BBQ Chicken Wings:
A tad bit too salty for me but some of my friends swear by it.
Triple Dipper:
One can choose from 4-5 options. Here we have Southwest egg roll, crispy chicken fingers and boneless chicken wings with 3 dips. Kids liked the chicken crispers so much that we had to order more.
Veggie and Cheese Quesadillas:
Wish their sour cream was a bit more zingy. But otherwise, the quesadillas were delicious and very filling.
Bacon and Cheddar Steak:
Eat this when very hungry. Its a good meal and then some. Featured here is a well-done steaj with satueed veggies and corn on the cob.
We Love:
Drinks: Any of their cocktails are really potent and well made.
Our favorite was:
Long Island Iced Tea,
Mojito and
Watermelon Margarita
Starters:
Chicken Nachos
Triple Dipper
Salad:
Quesadilla Explosion Salad
Mains:
Big Mouth Bites: 4 mini burgers. Yummy yummy!
Baby Back Ribs
Smoked Chicken Quesadilla
Location:
3rd Floor, Elante Mall, Industrial Area, Chandigarh.
Price:
Approximately 1800 for two people (including a drink each).
Timings:
12 am to 12pm. (Last order by 11:30pm).
Do they deliver?
Awesomely enough, yes! For a minimum order of Rs. 500.
Now that I've just relived my meals there, I'm craving some Chilli's. Sigh.
